Adidas Originals and WALES BONNER launch the collaboration for the Spring / Summer 2021 collection

This season Adidas Originals and Wales Bonner return to present their Spring / Summer 2021 collaboration. The collection is based on Wales Bonner's exploration of the diasporic connections between Great Britain and the Caribbean.

Where the first collection for Fall / Winter 2020, "Lovers Rock" reflected the British-Jamaican community in London in the 1970s, the Spring / Summer 2021 "Essence" Collection explores the early 1980s origin of dancehall music in Jamaica . Spring / Summer 2021 sees Wales Bonner infusing an array of iconic adidas looks with rich references. Throughout the collection a greater focus is placed on tailoring as the designer evokes the British evening dress, romanticized with magical found buttons. The clothing offering features reimagined 70s pieces, including shorts, t-shirts, and tracksuits that have been elevated with vintage cut lines, rich ribs, mesh and plaid prints.

The collection also hosts the quintessential updates of the adidas Samba and Nizza silhouettes. Chosen for its rich football heritage, the WB Samba sneaker features an all-leather upper with suede toe cap and heel tab and contrast stitch detailing, satin lining, leather stripes, co-branded details throughout and additional crochet laces. The classic silhouette is then composed in two surprising colors: Core Black / Prime Green and Collegiate Navy / Cream White / Mono yellow. Meanwhile, the WB Nizza Lo boasts a canvas upper with thick stitching and enameled eyelets, as well as a vulcanized outsole. The carefully crafted sneaker is then completed by co-branding details and is available in three colors.
